HeroClix - Battle of the Venues 2009 - Coming Soon...

Every year Loughborough University plays host to one of the largest comic book and games conventions in the country. Alongside the convention runs the Battle of the Venues - which includes a wide range of exciting tournaments for games such as HeroClix, VS. System, World of Warcraft TCG and many more. This year we saw Heroclix teams from clubs across the United Kingdom come together to prove they have what it takes to be called the best Heroclix team in the country in our specially themed Marvel vs. DC Mega Event.

Now that the Battle of the Venues 2008 is over, we would like to send out a massive thank you to everyone that attended and we really hope you had a good time. Battle of the Venues will be back even bigger and better in 2009!

A big congratulations to this year's winners Comic Culture, who took home the Golden Galactus trophy from last year's champions House of Heroes. All teams battled hard, but ultimately it was Comic Culture that came out victorious. Many thanks to all the runners up, who each received a Battle of the Venues goody bag for all their work and effort. At the end of the day, the final scores were as follows:

Again, we would like to thank everyone that attended, whether you came along just to see what the fuss was about or to play in one of the tournaments, we wouldn't be able to hold the event without you! Also a huge thanks to Tyler from House of Heroes comics for all his efforts getting the event off the ground and thanks to Anup and the Wizkids Crew for the support provided.
